Performance Agreement Highlights
Here’s a summary of the key terms that define how Voyageurs partners with comedians, hosts, and guest performers.
1. Purpose
Outlines the terms and conditions for the Performer to provide a live comedy performance at Voyageurs Comedy Club.
2. Performance Details
Includes date(s), showtime(s), performance type (Headliner, Feature, Host, or Showcase), duration, call time, and event coordinator information.
3. Compensation
Performer’s payment terms, including base fee, payment method, due date, and any ticket or merchandise revenue share agreed upon prior to the event.
4. Expenses
Performers cover travel, lodging, and meals unless specified otherwise. Voyageurs may offer hospitality or a per diem for headlining acts.
5. Promotion and Marketing
Voyageurs promotes through official channels; performers assist with reasonable marketing efforts. All use of performer’s name or likeness requires approval.
6. Technical Requirements
Venue provides stage, sound, and lighting. Performer provides any props, specialty items, or set list needed for coordination.
7. Conduct and Professionalism
Both parties maintain professionalism and a safe environment. Disorderly or discriminatory behavior may result in termination of performance for cause.
8. Cancellation Policy
Performers must provide at least 14 days’ notice to cancel. Voyageurs may cancel with equal notice or due to force majeure. If canceled by the venue within 14 days (non-force majeure), 50% of compensation is due.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond their control such as illness, acts of God, or closures.
10. Recording & Media Rights
Recording requires written consent. Ownership and usage are agreed upon in writing. Performers retain rights to their original material.
11. Independent Contractor Status
Performers are independent contractors, not employees of Voyageurs Comedy Club.
12. Indemnification
Both parties indemnify each other against damages arising from their own actions or negligence.
13. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Michigan.
14. Entire Agreement
The document represents the entire understanding between the Venue and Performer; any changes must be in writing and signed by both parties.

How do I apply to perform?
Email devin@voyageurs.com with your bio, performance video link, and preferred dates.
When do I get paid?
Payment is made upon completion of your performance unless otherwise stated in writing.
Can I sell merchandise?
Yes. Merchandise sales are allowed on site with prior approval. Splits or table space arrangements can be coordinated in advance.
Do you record shows?
Recording is only done with written performer consent and agreement on usage rights.
